Monin Macaroon Syrup (700ml)

This lovely Monin Macaroon syrup is made using the finest natural ingredients and can be used in a wide variety of hot and cold drinks. Monin flavouring syrups are popular in coffee, hot chocolate, cocktails, shakes, smoothies and more. One of the best known syrups brands in the UK, Monin syrups are available in a wide range of mouth-watering flavours.

A macaroon is a sweet confectionery. Its name is derived from an italian word “maccarone” or “maccherone”. This word is itself derived from ammaccare, meaning crush or beat, used here in reference to the almond paste which is the main ingredient.

It is based on meringue: made from a mixture of egg whites, almond flour, and confectionery sugar. The French macaroon differs from traditional macaroons as in that it is stuffed with cream or butter like a sandwich cookie, and can be found in a wide variety of flavours that range from the traditional (raspberry, chocolate) to the exotic version (truffle, matcha tea).

Tasting Notes: Sweet nose of roasted almonds, with notes of vanilla, butter and biscuit. Creamy and long-lasting taste of an original Macaroon, very sweet and velvety flavour, with light touches of almond.

Application: Cocktails, sodas, smoothies, lemonades, fruit punches, teas.

Both soft and crispy, subtle and irresistible, the Macaroon is one of the most popular French delicacies.
