Some people prefer plastic bottles as they help to reduce breakages and aren't as heavy as the glass bottles. Other people prefer the look and feel of the high quality glass bottles, so again, it is a matter of preference. Routin plastic bottles are made using superior PET, a type of crystal clear food grade plastic that doesn't leak any unwanted flavours into the syrup, so beware of very cheap brands elsewhere that don't use this type of bottle.
