Flavouring syrups have become hugely popular in the last few years - virtually every coffee shop offers at least a hazelnut or vanilla latte, and so more and more flavours have appeared on the market.
In our case, the range has grown from around 80 flavours a couple of years ago, to more than 300 different lines today and we're adding new ones all the time. It's partly because customers are experimenting more with their coffee and hot chocolate when they visit a Starbucks or Costa, and partly because they're so versatile that it doesn't need to stop at just coffee. You can use them for long, cold drinks in the summer, exotic cocktails, milkshakes and even desserts.
Following on from this, we couldn't resist sharing this recipe with you, created by a professional barista using syrups from the Philibert Routin 1883 range. Adapt it to your own tastes and give it a go - we did and can say it's pretty special!!
