Java Caffe Tanzanian Coffee (1kg)

A blend of coffees from 2 different regions, Arusha and Kilimanjaro, this coffee is grown and then transported to the washing station whole, where they are then fermented, washed, and soaked. An initial aroma of chamomile leads the way, before dark fruits and toffee take centre stage, along with a bright acidity and silky mouthfeel.

"Mbili Twiga", which translates as two giraffes coming together, is a symbol of the teamwork involved in bringing this incredible coffee together, and recognising the hard work of their partners. Grown at high altitude, in dark volcanic soil, these plants have all the nutrients and components needed to produce the best possible coffee, as well as having the benefit of cover from the umbrella acacia trees, protecting them from the fierce sun.

roasted to the lighter side of medium, we didn't want to jeopardise any of the incredible flavours on offer, and would rather the coffee spoke for itself.

Hand roasted weekly in small batches, this speciality coffee is then packed off into recyclable bags, fitted with one-way valves. Our bags also come with a rip zip, and resealing strip as standard, meaning you can lock in those flavours and enjoy it time and time again.
